A new report has revealed that the Apple iPhone 14 Pro demand is skyrocketing despite its high price.
On September 7, the Cupertino-based tech giant unveiled the iPhone 14 series of smartphones. The series includes four models – two with modest features and two with top-end specs, but only three models are currently on sale as the iPhone 14 Plus, will start shipping from October 7 onwards. Out of these models, iPhone 14 Pro demand seems to be the highest. Recent sales data suggest that consumer demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models is extremely high and Apple is having to scramble to ramp-up production.
As reported by Appleinsider.com, JP Morgan’s Apple Product Availability Tracker says that the iPhone 14 standard version has a relatively short delivery time, while the iPhone 14 Pro model has a longer delivery time. As the study shows across multiple regions, the delivery time for iPhone 14 is an average of three days, whereas, the iPhone 14 Pro takes 35 days and the iPhone 14 Pro Max has 41 days of delivery time.
Also, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo too has pointed out that iPhone 14 Pro is in high demand out of all the three iPhone 14 models that are currently on sale. He also shared that Apple had asked Foxconn to switch the production line of the iPhone 14 to the iPhone 14 Pro model. He tweeted, ” Due to strong demand for the iPhone 14 Pro models, my latest survey indicates that Apple has asked Hon Hai to switch the production lines of the iPhone 14 to the iPhone 14 Pro models, which will help improve Apple’s product mix/iPhone ASP in 4Q22.”
Kuo also added that Apple will increase the shipment forecast of iPhone 14 Pro models in 4Q22 by about 10% based on the production line conversion rate. He wrote, “Only a few component suppliers’ order changes currently reflect Hon Hai’s production line conversion (e.g., Samsung Display). I expect that most of the suppliers should also receive order increase requests for iPhone 14 Pro models from Apple in the next few weeks.”
