Kalyan Chaubey on Friday was elected as the new president of All India Football Federation (AIFF). Former India captain Bhaichung Bhutia was also in contention for the president’s post but he ended up losing the election to Chaubey. Bhutia received just one vote whereas Chaubey received 33 votes. As a result of this victory, Chaubey has also become the first player-president of India’s governing body for football.
