Japchae is typically prepared using dangmyeon, a special type of glass noodle that is extremely popular in Korean cuisine. Dangmyeon is made of starch from mung bean, sweet potatoes or potatoes. It is also called cellophane noodles and glass noodles. If you can’t find dangmyeon, then you can use any kind of noodles that is available to you.

Japchae Recipe: How To Make Korean-Style Glass Noodles

Start by boiling the dangmyeon as per package directions. You just need to boil the noodles till they become transparent. Prepare all the vegetables; here we have used carrots, onion, spring onion, mushrooms, pepper and spinach.

Heat oil in a wok, and saute all the vegetables till they are cooked. Pour soya sauce, sugar, corn syrup and sesame. Once the sauces start boiling, add the glass noodles. Stir fry till the sauces are absorbed. The japchae dish is ready!
