Tata Motors has expanded its electric vehicles lineup last month with the new Tiago EV. The company’s electric vehicle (EV) portfolio includes the Tigor EV and Nexon EV. Tata Tiago EV bookings have already started and the vehicle has hit the whopping 10000-vehicle mark on Day 1. The company has unveiled the Tata Tiago in the Indian market at a starting price of ₹8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The deliveries are scheduled to begin in January 2023. The Tiago EV was launched as the most affordable electric model in Tata Motors’ portfolio. Tata Tiago EC price is Rs. 8.49 lakh. Tigor EV price starts at Rs. 12.49 (ex-showroom) and the flagship Nexon EV priced at Rs. 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). To celebrate the wonderful response from buyers, the company had extended its introductory offer for 10000 buyers.
Tata Tiago EV Features
The new Tata Tiago EV has a permanent magnet synchronous motor (24 kW version) which produces 73.7 bhp and 114 nm of torque as well as another 19.2 kW version that produces 60.3 bhp and 110 nm of torque. There are two drive modes – City and Sport. Each mode has four different levels of regen settings available.
Further it also has a range of new and modern features like auto-headlamps, electric ORVMs with auto-fold, cruise control, an 8-speaker Harman infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also digital instrument cluster, auto headlamps, leatherette seats, i-TPMS, smartwatch connectivity, electric tailgate (open) automatic climate control as standard, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start/stop, cooled glovebox, projector headlamps, and much more.
Apart from these, the company has claimed that the newly launched electric vehicle will offer 80% charging in 57 minute. It has been launched in two variants – 24kWh battery and 19.2 kWh battery.
