Kids have a heart of gold. Their innocence is adorable and whatever they do wins our heart. We have seen so many stories on the internet about young ones doing good deeds, whether for family or strangers. Remember the 2-year-oll girl who tried to cook a meal for her mother? And the young boy distributing water bottles to the needy in Delhi’s peak summer last year? It’s all so admirable. Sometimes, kids provide us life lessons, and we should take them. Now, a video of a little girl demonstrating a kindly act has gone viral on the internet.
The video, which was shared on Goodnews Movement’s Instagram account, shows a young girl helping an elderly man drink water from a bottle. The poor man sitting on the side of a road seems to have a health condition as we can see his hand shaking. It looks like the girl was just passing by with her father when she saw the man struggling to drink water from the water bottle. As the video starts, we can see the girl holding the bottle in one hand and supporting the man’s back with another as she assists him to drink the water.

Isn’t it adorable? The internet is also in awe of the kind little girl. With more than 3M views, the video has gone viral. Many comments appreciated the girl for her empathy.

Towards the end of the video, the girl’s father takes her away but not before she closed the cap of the bottle and put it down in front of the man. Some people pointed out that the father should not have pulled her away.
“Such a kind girl. But dad should not have pulled her away, I feel like dad could have also helped or asked if the man needed anything else, or in some way contributed to the kindness the girl was giving.”
However, other defended the father with comments like:
“Clearly he’s done a great job raising a very empathetic little girl. He stood there and watched and waited albeit a little hurriedly. Maybe they were running late for her recital and he knew that he’d be in big trouble with mom for getting her there late! We’re always so quick to judge. A little understanding goes a long way. Let’s follow this little girl’s example and extend grace and empathy as well.”
