Just like baingan ka bharta, kaddu is mashed before cooking to make bharta-like dry sabzi. Kaddu ka bharta turns out sweeter than baingan ka bharta, but is also great for a light dinner meal, especially on a weight loss diet. The recipe for kaddu ka bharta was shared by nutritionist Rashi Chowdhary on her Instagram page, and she suggested having this dish if you are trying to lose weight.

Kaddu Ka Bharta Recipe I How To Make Kaddu Ka Bharta:

First cut the kaddu into small pieces and steam them. Then mash them all with the help of a fork till you get a thick paste. Then fry chopped onion in some oil with cumin seeds, ginger, garlic and green chilli. Add chopped tomatoes and spice powder like turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder and salt to taste. Add the mashed kaddu and cook everything together. Finally, add some garam masala and coriander leaves, and enjoy hot.
