Dairy brand Amul issued a clarification after it had its share of controversy recently, thanks to a video of its lassi packets circulated on social media. In the viral video, we could see that the lassi packet was contaminated with fungus even before its expiry date. The packet was opened and a layer of green fungus was visible in the video. The creator claimed that he drank the lassi and it tasted quite bad, which is when he made the discovery. However, the dairy brand called the video 'fake' and said it was 'being used to create misinformation' about Amul products.
