Shoaib Malik Spills Beans On What Led To Funny Catch Drop With Saeed Ajmal | Cricket News

[ad_1] Champions Trophy 2017 has been one of the most forgetful outings for Team India as they lost against arch-rivals Pakistan in the summit clash by 180 runs. Led by star batter Virat Kohli, Team India featured the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, MS Dhoni, and Jasprit Bumrah but miserably failed to clinch their second Champions Trophy title. On the other hand, Pakistan posted a whopping total of 338/4 in 50 overs after Fakhar Zaman smashed 114 off 106 balls. Later, Mohammad Amir and Hasan Ali scalped three wickets each and bundled out India for 158 to clinch their maiden title. Despite such a thrilling battle, one thing which became a major highlight of the day was the friendly meet of the players from both the teams at the Oval after the match.Recalling those days, Amir recall...

[ad_1] File photo of Arshdeep Singh in action© AFPWhile the batting of Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav have been the highlight of Indian cricket team's 2022 T20 World Cup campaign so far, Arshdeep Singh's left-arm pace bowling has made almost equal impact. He has so far scalped nine wickets to be India's best bowler in the mega event. His list of victims includes Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Quinton De Kock, Asif Ali among others. In India's first loss of the tournament against South Africa on Sunday, Arshdeep gave the team a glimmer of a hope while defending a low total of 133/9. He took the early wickets de Kock and Rilee Rossouw to peg back the Proteas. However, the Temba Bavuma-led side recovered from that shock to reach the target with two balls to spare. However, the 23-year-old Ars...

“Plays Like MS Dhoni But…”: Saeed Ajmal Criticises Pakistan Star Citing Ex-India Captain’s Example | Cricket News

[ad_1] As the 2022 T20 World Cup approaches, there is a clear trend that is visible in the Pakistan cricket team's performance. The side is increasingly looking over-reliant on openers Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan. The same was visible in Tuesday's tri-nation series match against New Zealand in which Pakistan lost by nine wickets. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan fell on low scores and Pakistan could manage only 130/7 in 20 overs. The middle order could not leave an impact. Shan Masood (14), Shadab Khan (8), Iftikhar Ahmed (27) and Haider Ali (8) failed to strike big.Saeed Ajmal, former Pakistan spinner, criticised the middle order and made a special note about Iftikhar Ahmed, who scored a run-a-ball 27. Ajmal commented that Iftikhar began his innings like MS Dhoni, one of the best finis...
