Khambir, Kahwa And More: A Look At Gary Mehigan’s Ladakh Adventures

[ad_1] Gary Mehigan seems to enjoy trying regional Indian food. His latest trip to Leh-Ladakh is yet more proof of this. The celebrated Australian chef and cookbook author arrived in India two weeks ago, and his first stop was in the Himalayas: amid the snowy peaks of Leh-Ladakh. One of the first things he tasted was a drink made of seabuckthorn. He explained that it is "a yellow sour fruit picked in summer here from the thorny bushes that grow everywhere there is water." But that's not the only local beverage he relished.
