Well, the surge in ginger prices has forced many tea stall owners to increase the price of their cutting chai. As per a Times Of India report, the local tea vendors in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, have increased the price of ginger tea from Rs 5 to Rs 8. According to reports, ginger is being sold at Rs 155 per kg in the Kolhapur APMC, while it is priced at Rs 220 per kg in the retail market.
