The Sikh community across the globe have recently celebrated one of their biggest festivals of the year, Guru Nanak Jayanti (on October 8, 2022). The day is observed as Prakash Utsav, marking the birth anniversary of the first teacher of the Sikhs, Guru Nanak. Every year, the day is observed with much fervour and enthusiasm. Devotees throng nearby gurdwaras to offer their prayers, do 'sewa' and enjoy kada prasad.
