We simply head to our favourite burger or sandwich chain and place an order for our favourite meals without thinking twice. At Subway, however, many people complain that ordering food can be a task. The wide array of choices for bread, vegetables, dips and toppings often leaves customers confused. The ordeal of ordering a Subway sandwich has now been made simpler, and this was the subject of a recent advertisement that the fast food brand released online. Take a look:

The 30-second ad was shared on the official handle of the chess legend Viswanathan Anand. In the clip, we could see the grandmaster placing an order at a Subway outlet. The staff member fired multiple questions at him about the kind of bread, the veggies to be used in the filling and the kind of sauces and condiments required to be used. Anand started thinking of it like a game of chess and started sweating on hearing the queries from the Subway staff member. “Even a genius can find it hard to order a sub,” said the tagline in the advertisement.
The video ad by Subway featuring Viswanathan Anand has gone viral, receiving over 774k views and 11.1k likes. A flurry of reactions also poured into the comments section. Internet showered appreciation for the creativity in the ad and how well it was scripted. “Now I can put ‘I have ordered Subway without feeling anxious’ in my resume,” wrote one user. “I think this is one of the most lovable ads. I used to avoid subways ’cause I could never figure out how to order,” said another one.
