Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan were the stars with the bat for India on Day 4 of the third Test against England. While Jaiswal brought up his second double century of his Test career, Sarfaraz scored back-to-back fifties to table his case for a longer run in the Indian team. While both players toyed with England bowlers, hitting some exquisite shots, there was also a moment in the middle where Sarfaraz and Jaiswal argued over running a double that even left skipper Rohit Sharma stunned.

In what looked like a real opportunity to take a double, Jaiswal sent Sarfaraz back from the middle of the pitch. Having already been run out in the first innings of the same Test, the debutant wasn’t pleased with Jaiswal’s act.

Sarfaraz made his frustration known to Jaiswal and even seemed to have scolded him for not running for the second. Here’s the video:

While there was a difference in opinion between Sarfaraz and Jaiswal during that incident, the two batted together brilliantly in Rajkot. Sarfaraz even celebrated Jaiswal’s double hundred before the latter completed his run to reach the milestone.

As India declared the innings, Sarfaraz asked Jaiswal to lead the walk-off, making sure that the southpaw gets the praise he deserves for shattering record books with his brilliant double ton.

A key highlight of Jaiswal’s knock was smashing veteran pace legend James Anderson for a hat-trick of sixes. Sarfaraz also took on England’s bowlers, smashing boundaries in another quick-fire half-century.

India ended the innings at 430/4, with Jaiswal (214* in 236 balls, 14 fours and 12 sixes) and Sarfaraz (68* in 72 balls, with six fours and three sixes) unbeaten to orchestrate a 172-run partnership for the fifth wicket as Indi won the contest by 434 runs.
