How many hours mutton should be marinated? At least 8 hours. But this mutton curry does not require marination. However, if you want to marinate it for some time. Add all the ground spices, ginger, garlic and 1/4 cup yogurt and marinate the meat for 1-2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.

Set the instant pot to saute mode and add the oil. Saute the whole spices for 30 seconds to release the aroma. Saute the chopped green chilli, onions, ginger, and garlic in the pot for 4 minutes, or until golden. Continue to stir at regular intervals.

Add the chopped tomatoes and spices to a mixing bowl. Saute for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the mutton chunks and thoroughly combine them with the gravy. Cook for 5 minutes.
