“Popcorn Bae”, “Butter King”: Theatre Employee Goes Viral For Unique Popcorn-Making Skill

Food vendors from around the world have gone viral for the peculiar ways they prepare and serve food. From flying dahi vada and flying dosa to the elegant seasoning of steak by Turkish chef Salt Bae, it seems that we have seen it all. But, there is a new addition to this list that is gaining traction – Butter King. An employee at a movie theatre in the US has won hearts online with his unique style of preparing butter popcorn. A video of the employee named Jason was widely shared on social media. It shows Jason standing behind a counter at the theatre and proceeding to make a bucket of butter popcorn with impressive speed and precision. He first grabs a bucket, fills it with some popcorn, and pours liquid butter on them. He then stacks another layer of popcorn, again pours some butter, and spins the bucket before repeating the whole process until the order is made. Jason is also seen wearing a nametag that reads “Popcorn guy”.

The clip amassed more than 9 million views on Twitter where many praised Jason for his talent and passion.

He was even given different titles by users. “Wish I referred to Jason as “Popcorn Bae” in the original tweet,” the person who shared the video wrote.
