How To Make Papad Potato Rolls At Home | Quick And Easy Recipe For Stuffed Papad Rolls

Mash boiled potatoes and combine them with chopped green capsicum, coriander leaves and garlic cloves. Add spice masalas and mix well. Taste to adjust salt and then keep aside.

Dip a papad into water for a few seconds until both sides are slightly wet. (For the water, you can use a bowl, a thali with raised edges or even a tray). Then place the papad on a clean, flat surface and pat it with a cloth/ tissue paper to remove excess moisture.

Place a small quantity of the prepared stuffing in the middle of the papad. Fold it from all sides to cover the stuffing and form a firm roll. Do the same with the remaining stuffing and papads. Deep fry the papad rolls until golden brown. Serve hot with chutneys or dips of your choice.

Tips To Keep In Mind While Making Stuffed Papad Rolls:

1. Don’t add too much stuffing: remember that the papad is a rather delicate coating. If the quantity of the filling is too much, the papad will not be able to handle the heaviness. This may lead to breakage during or after frying.

2. Allow the papad to become just wet enough to roll: The point of moistening the papad is to make it more flexible – like a chapati or roti. But too much moisture might lead to a soggy and oily snack.

3. Seal the papad properly: You have to be very careful while closing the edges of the papad over each other. You can try making an envelope-like shape. Ensure that the roll is sealed well, or it may come apart while frying.
