Padma Lakshmi was debating the use of the word ‘slay’ with her daughter while prepping a recipe. While chopping vegetables, Padma Lakshmi indicated that her action of chopping is ‘slay’. Her daughter on the other hand opposed the use of slang by her mother. She retorted that her mother sounds old by saying the word slay. However, her daughter allows the use of the word ‘slay’ when she would want to make rotis.
