No Apple event in October? New MacBooks, iPads could launch THIS way

[ad_1]

Apple may skip holding an event in favour of a quiet release of its updated MacBook Pro models as well as iPads.

Apple may not be hosting its signature October event for Macs and iPads. Based on the new rumours, it is suggested that Apple doesn’t have enough new products to host an event for the same, and instead may prefer going for a quiet release. The new MacBooks and iPads could be simply announced via Apple’s Newsroom press releases. It should not be a big deal for many, considering that changes could be minimal with the updated Macs and iPads. Here is all we know.

The rumour comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurnam, who insists that these announcements could come via Apple Newsroom press release at different timepoints. Hence, we could see the new iPads first, followed by the updated Mac models. The rumour mill had churned off possibilities of updated 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models along with updated variants of the iPad Pro models.

No Apple Event in October!

This would be the first time in a while since Apple decides to skip an October event. Last year, we saw the iPhone 13 series and the Apple Watch Series 7 taking over the September launch event. Later in October, Apple announced the updated MacBook Pro models with the more powerful M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. The March 2022 event saw the arrival of the Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra chip.

It is said that Apple could update the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the M2 chip, or rather the more powerful versions of the M2 chip. We could see the M2 Pro and M2 Max on these models, which could promise substantial gains in performance.

As for the iPads, the M2 chip could also find its way into the iPad Pro models. That said, the new chips are the only changes expected on the new Macs and iPad Pros. Hence, these models could only interest those who seek more performance. The MacBook Air was recently announced at the WWDC 2022 event and we don’t expect a newer version of the same anytime soon.

On the other hand, Apple’s recently announced iPhone 14 series has been off to a surprising start. People are fond of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max more, and hence the demand for the Pro variants is at an all time high. It was in the news that Apple’s contract manufacturers disassembled the iPhone 14 production line in favour of the Pro variants.
