Love Chaat But Worrying Weight Gain? Try Nutritionist-Approved “Healthy Chaat” Recipe

[ad_1]

Chaat is a beloved Indian snack that holds a special place in our hearts. With its delicious mix of flavours, from the papdi to the various chutneys, no wonder it is a favourite for many. However, despite its appeal, chaat is not exactly the healthiest of snacks. It is made of fried components and sugary sauces, which makes it more of an occasional snack than a nutritious choice. But what if chaat were to be made healthy? Nutritionist Reema Hingorani Madhian has just the solution! In a recent Instagram video, she made up a healthier version of this snack and we are loving it.

Ms Madhian’s healthy chaat recipe features ingredients like hung curd, boiled sprouts, potatoes, baked banana chips, grated beetroot, and some pomegranate seeds. She also used some homemade date tamarind chutney and mint chutney to add flavour, along with a sprinkle of coriander leaves, black salt, and roasted cumin powder.

Ms Madhian began by spreading the hung curd on a platter. Then, she added boiled sprouts, banana chips, potatoes, and grated beetroot, layering each ingredient one by one on top of the curd. She then sprinkled black salt, cumin powder, and the different kinds of chutneys into the mix. This chaat “works on improving your gut health,” the nutritionist wrote in her caption.
