Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan shared a heartfelt note for his wife Safa Baig as the couple celebrated its eighth marriage anniversary on Saturday. “Infinite roles mastered by one soul – mood booster, comedian, troublemaker, and the constant companion, friend, and mother of my children. In this beautiful journey, I cherish you as my wife. Happy 8th my love,” wrote Pathan while sharing a picture of his with wife on social media. As per multiple media reports, this is the first time that the face of Pathan’s wife was seen.

Notably, Pathan has been crticised in the past for keeping the face of his wife hidden while sharing pictures with her on social media.
Recently, the ex-India all-rounder had backed Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer despite their poor batting form.
“A senior player like Virat Kohli‘s absence is a massive factor. Over that KL Rahul is also injured. So the team management has plenty to think about. They need to think whether to give a chance to a new player straight away or wait a bit,” Pathan said on the sidelines of the launch of Asian Legends League as quoted by PTI.
“There is no doubt that these two boys (Gill and Iyer) haven’t performed for quite sometime now but it not that they have never performed.”
Meanwhile, India trail 1-0 in the ongoing five-match series against England after losing the first game by 28 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
Talking about the second Test in Visakhapatnam, the hosts were in the driving seat at the end of play on Day 2.
Jasprit Bumrah put up a special exhibition of reverse swing on a flat deck after Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s maiden double hundred to bowl out England for 253 in their first innings and put India ahead in the second Test on Saturday.
India tallied 396 all out in their first innings after starting day two at 336 for six. Jaiswal (209 off 290) became the third youngest double centurion from India in the morning session and was the sole shining light in an otherwise grim batting effort.
In response, England were bowled out in 55.5 overs in the final session to concede a 143-run first innings lead to India.
Needing to bat five overs before stumps on day two, India were unscathed at 28 for no loss in their second innings.
