Indian cricket team pacer Deepak Chahar on Saturday raised his poor experience of the online food delivery company Zomato. The fast bowler revealed the ordeals of it through his social media account. “New fraud in India. Ordered food from Zomato and app shows delivered but didn’t receive anything. After calling the customer service they also said that it’s been delivered and m lying. M sure lot of people must be facing same issues. Tag Zomato and tell your story,” wrote Chahar.

Apologizing on the issue, Zomato replied to the post on X, saying, “Hi Deepak, We’re deeply concerned about your experience and apologize for any inconvenience. Rest assured, we take such issues seriously and are urgently looking into the matter to ensure a swift resolution.”

To this Chahar replied, “Just wanted to highlight this as lot of people face this issue and no proper action is taken giving back the money of the order will not solve the issue. Hunger cannot be compensate with money.”

Responding to Chahar’s comment, Zomato replied once again, saying: “We truly understand the seriousness of this situation, Deepak, and are committed to resolving the underlying issue. Your satisfaction is paramount to us. Kindly share a convenient time for our team to connect with you and discuss this. Your cooperation is highly appreciated.” 

Deepak Chahar, who plays for Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League, talked about the importance of gaining strength and said that it helps a fast bowler to increase pace.

While speaking at an event of the CSK, Chahar said that when one athlete is playing or continuing their rehab, they are losing strength, so the season break is the perfect time for a player to recover. “When you’re doing rehab – or just playing – you’re not gaining strength. You’re losing the strength of your body. So this is the right time for me or any athlete… when you get one-and-a-half months or two months, you need to gain strength. If you gain strength you increase your pace as well,” Chahar was quoted by ESPNcricinfo as saying.
