Yes! Dahi tadka has several health benefits because of the ingredients in it. Dahi, or yoghurt, is packed with vitamin B2, vitamin B12, calcium, magnesium, and potassium. It helps improve immunity and supports healthy digestion. Moreover, it promotes healthy skin and helps in reducing cholesterol levels in your body. Garlic helps in warding off colds and coughs, supports cardiac health, and helps in digestion. Mustard oil, which is used for tempering, is packed with monounsaturated fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties.

How To Make Lasooni Dahi Tadka: Recipe To Make Lasooni Dahi Tadka At Home

In a pan, heat some oil. Then add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Give it a gentle stir before adding cumin seeds in the same pan. Now add chopped onion and garlic to the oil and saute until it’s golden brown. To this, add spices – hing, turmeric powder, and green chillies. Mix well so that the spices are well coated on the veggies. Cook well for a minute. Switch off the burner and take the pan off it. Let the mixture cool down for 2-3 minutes.

Now gently add whisked yoghurt to the pan while stirring continuously. Make sure not to add the yoghurt all at once to avoid curdling. Mix the yoghurt well with the garlic and onion tempering so that it changes its colour to light red. Now add salt, sugar, and dry herbs to it. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and slivered ginger. And voila! Your Lasooni dahi tadka is ready to serve!
