Pizza is one of the most popular Italian dishes. You’ll find pizza lovers waiting for the weekend or their cheat day to binge on this Italian delicacy. As much as we love pizza, it is quite unhealthy as it is high in calories, carbohydrates and sodium. How would you react if we told you that you could relish pizza everyday? Well, this man, who lives in Oregon, US, crossed all the limits and kept ordering pizza almost every day for ten years. Wait, that’s not the entire story. There is a big twist. Kirk Alexander’s daily record saved his life. Wondering how?

Alexander, who was 48 when the incident was first reported in 2016, used to order food from Domino’s pizza every day, reported Oregon Live. Alexander was quite famous at the outlet near his house as his orders were never the same. But when Alexander didn’t call in 11 days, the staff decided to check on him. An employee, Tracey Hamblen, from the pizza outlet went to Alexander’s residence to see if everything was fine. After not getting the expected response, Hamblen called up the emergency helpline number 911 and her colleagues, the report added.

Later, when Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene they heard a man crying for help. After entertaining the house, they found Alexander lying on the floor. He was suffering from serious medical problems that could have ended his life, Marion County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt Chris Baldridge said in a press note. Initially, the first responders thought that Alexander had suffered a stroke.

“We are proud of our team members who took the initiative to reach out and help a regular customer who was in distress,” the pizza chain said in a statement, reported The Washington Post
