Butter is nothing short of culinary magic. Just a hint of this golden goodness can turn an ordinary dish into an irresistible one. We often love adding lots of butter to our bread or to our other favourite treats. But sometimes, one may go too far. There is such a thing as too much butter – not only in terms of taste, but also calories and fats. An Instagram reel has recently gone viral for the same reason. The clip featured a single serving of rice being cooked in a whopping 300 grams of butter. The clip has sparked a range of sarcastic comments.

In the viral video, we see a man adding not one, not two, but three 100-gram slabs of yellow butter into a pan, which is placed on a stove. As the butter melts, he adds some curry leaves, followed by chopped veggies including onions, capsicum, and carrot. He sautes these veggies in the butter before adding cooked rice to the pan. He mixes all the ingredients well, and seasons the dish with salt and masala. The buttery creation is then served in a black bowl, with a separate cube of butter! The text on the top of the video reads, “Heart Attack Brown Rice,” with a fire emoticon. Watch the full video here:
