According to the data provided by analytics company Mixpanel, after 9 days of the launch, more iPhone users have installed iOS 16 compared to iOS 15 last year.

Have you updated your iPhone to iOS 16 yet? If not, here is a reason you should scramble to do so. Compared to iOS 15 last year, iPhone users have been quite quick to adopt iOS 16, according to the data provided by analytics company Mixpanel. iOS 16 was launched on September 12 and as per the analytics, after 9 days of the launch, iOS 16 has been installed on around 23.26 percent of all the iPhones. Whereas, iOS 15 was downloaded on 19.3 percent of devices, after 10 days of launch in 2021. The main reason behind the rapid adoption and installation of iOS 16 can be the visual changes and other exciting features for lock screen, iMessages, and more.

Be that as it may, it should also be pointed out that there are certain bugs that are plaguing those who downloaded iOS 16. iPhone 14 models, iPhone 11, iPhone XR, and more users are facing certain problems after the update including a rattling camera, black screen and more. And in order to address these bugs, Apple on Thursday was forced to release another update- iOS 16.0.2. The update is available for download on all the iPhones supporting iOS 16. iPhone users will have to go to Settings > General > Software Update, for the same.

The bug fixes and important security updates that the iOS 16.0.2 brings for your iPhone span camera rattling, blurry photos, display may appear completely black during device setup, copy and paste between apps may cause a permission prompt to appear more than expected, VoiceOver may be unavailable after rebooting, touch input is unresponsive on some iPhone X, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11 displays and more.

These problems are being faced not just by older iPhones, but even the spanking new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Also, Apple is working on iOS 16.1. In fact, the first beta of iOS 16.1 has already been released for testing purposes to the developers. iOS 16.1 will bring several changes to the iPhones including- adding battery percentage to iPhone 13 Mini Status Bar, Clean Energy Charging option, Live Activities will come to the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, and more. iOS 16.1 will be released next month (October).
