Apple event: It has been a special year for Apple as it has launched more devices compared to previous years. In June, the company announced the latest operating systems for its devices, a new 15-inch MacBook Air, as well as the Vision Pro, its first-ever spatial computer. Then, the Cupertino-based tech giant unveiled its iPhone 15 series at the Wonderlust event on September 12, alongside the new Apple Watches. However, one thing has been missing so far – new Macs.

Since its launch 13 years ago, there has not been a year when the Mac lineup hasn’t been refreshed. While it was initially thought that Apple could break this streak in 2023, it isn’t the case anymore as the tech giant has announced the ‘Scary Fast’ event that’ll take place on October 30 at 5:00 PM PT/5:30 AM IST.

Here’s all that could be announced at the Apple event.

Apple ‘Scary Fast’ event: All the expected announcements

MacBooks are expected to be at the center of attention at the ‘Scary Fast’ event. It has been rumoured for some time now that Apple is looking to bring out its next chipset, the M3, and could showcase its prowess during the ‘Scary Fast’ event. Apple’s M3 lineup which might include four variants – M3, M3 Pro, M3 Max, and M3 Ultra.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had stated earlier that Apple was internally testing an M3-powered iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and other Mac devices, but none of them saw the light of the day at the Wonderlust event on September 12. According to reports, Apple could introduce its M3-powered devices during the October event.

It is also possible that a new 24-inch iMac could also be showcased as reports hint that it has been in the works for quite a while now.

Could iPads be announced?

A report surfaced a few days ago which claimed that Apple could expand its iPad lineup by announcing new iPads on October 17. While that did not happen, the Cupertino-based tech giant did announce a new and cheaper alternative to the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation. There isn’t any iPad-related announcement expected at the ‘Scary Fast’ event as Gurman claims that Apple is planning a 2024 release for its iPads including iPad Mini, iPad Air, and iPad 11th Generation.

Do note that all the information is based on unofficial reports and should be taken with a pinch of salt until there is official confirmation from Apple, which is expected to be at the ‘Scary Fast’ event on October 30.
