Amul Welcomes Cheetahs To India With ‘Purr-fect’ Topical

After a wait of 70 years, eight cheetahs were released into their new home Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. These cheetahs were brought by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Namibia on his birthday on September 17. To celebrate this historic development, Amul took to Instagram to share a creative doodle. In the picture, we can see the Amul mascot in a jungle, sitting with a cheetah by the side. “We’re spotting cheetahs again! Purr-fect taste!” the post reads. The post instantly grabbed attention on the internet with thousands of people sending likes and commenting on it. “Spot on,” wrote one. Another person commented, “Bro never misses.” A third comment reads, “Nice spots!” Another person wrote, “Just love your ads.”

For the unversed, Cheetahs were declared locally extinct in India in 1952. They are the fastest land animal in the world and are deemed to attain a speed of approximately 80 to 130 km per hour.

After the release of the cheetahs, Prime Minister Modi addressed the nation and thanked the Namibian government. “On this historic day, I want to congratulate all Indians and also thank the government of Namibia. This could not have been possible without their help,” PM Modi said. Further referring to the cheetahs as ‘India’s guests’, Prime Minister Modi said that India will try its best to follow international guidelines in nurturing them.
