The video was originally shared on Twitter by a page named ‘Sharing Travel’. Since the time it was posted, it has received over 2.3 million views and 10.8k likes. “Crazy machine chef. I’m hungry,” read the caption to the post. In the clip, we could see a machine stir-frying or tossing vegetables in a wok. For the unversed, this is a very common cooking technique in which vegetables are tossed rapidly in high temperatures to keep them crisp. Typically, we have seen this being done by human chefs with a lot of effort and skill. However, with the help of this robotic technology, it was easily manageable with minimal hassle. The speed of the wok-tossing process could also be increased multiple times thanks to the machine chef.
Thousands of comments and reactions poured into the video of the machine chef. A user asked, “Is this the future of the catering industry?” while another reacted, “When machines will cook for us! Everyone will have a personal khansamah!” Several thought that the use of machinery in cooking would yield excellent results that no human could ever make. One user commented, “You can imagine how perfect this stir fry would be.”
