Famous YouTuber Bhuvan Bam will soon be appearing in a lead role in a web series. After reaching many milestones in YouTube and beyond, he will finally be making his web series debut on a streaming platform with Taaza Khabar. The show appears to be a comedy-drama taking place in the city of Mumbai. If you are a fan of his BB Ki Vines channel and want to see him tackle a serious role, then you need to watch this series. Bhuvan Bam began his YouTube channel in 2015 with his channel BB Ki Vines where he would upload videos between 2 to 12 minutes in length. The videos would be comedy sketches where he would play various characters himself. At present, his channel has 25.6 million subscribers.
Apart from being a comedian, performer and YouTuber, Bam is also a songwriter and singer and has released multiple singles. He also appeared in a short film, Plus Minus, along with Divya Dutt which earned him a Filmfare award. And now finally, he is set to appear in a lead role in a OTT web series.
While not much is known about Taaza Khabar, it appears to be a story around a man who wants to achieve his dreams and the struggles that come his way. There also appears to be an element of the supernatural to the show. The series is created by Abbas Dalal and Hussain Dalal and directed by Himank Gaur. Rohith Raj and Bhuvan Bam have produced the series under the brand of BBKV Productions.
The trailer of the series has received more than 12 million views, 553K likes and over 29,000 comments on YouTube.
The show will be streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar starting January 6. Announcing the show, Bam wrote on YouTube, “Taaza Khabar, my debut OTT show streaming 6th January, 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar”. Do note, you will require a subscription to the platform in order to watch the series.
