Sweet OTT deal! Netflix Basic is cheaper now

[ad_1]

Netflix Basic plan is cheaper now provided you don’t mind a few things. The OTT platform has finally released its new plan.

Netflix is now cheaper than before! After a long wait, the OTT platform has finally launched the Netflix Basic with Ads plan in several countries. It is an ad-supported subscription plan that allows you to binge-watch movies and TV shows at a lower price than the premium subscription. Under this plan, you will be able to enjoy Netflix content in HD video quality up to 720p. However, it will be limited to one supported device only at a time, whether it is a phone, tablet, computer or TV. The only main highlight here is that unlike other ad-free plans of Netflix which allow you to enjoy movies and shows without the annoyance of ads, you will have to bear with ads as the price to pay for a cheaper subscription.

However, you need to know that some movies and TV shows will not be available due to licensing restrictions. Sadly, the download option is excluded from this subscription plan. On a good note, you will also have access to Netflix games without ads. Apart from that, Netflix already has a Basic plan sans ads. The difference between Basic and the new Basic subscription with Ad plan is minor. Netflix says you will get 4 to 5 minutes of ads per hour. It will also show 15-30 seconds of ads before any show or movie.

How to subscribe to Netflix Basic with ads plan

If you are coming for the first time to Netflix, then you can sign up for the Basic with ads plan which is available in Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and Mexico. It will cost you $6.99 per month. Although, if you are currently a Netflix member, you can also change your plan to Basic with ads.

Netflix Basic with ads plan in India

Currently, Netflix is rolling out this subscription plan in 12 countries, which doesn’t list India. However, Netflix says it will be expanded to more counties over time.

Netflix is yet to announce the release date and price of the new subscription plan in India.
