The movie tells the story of a conservative family with Madhuri Dixit playing the role of Pallavi, the wife of a timid husband and mother to a family-oriented son and a daughter who believes in fighting for just causes. As the son falls in love with an NRI woman, the marriage and the family itself comes under the threat of breaking apart as rumors spread about Pallavi.
Despite its serious undertones, the movie manages to keep a lighthearted and fun appeal to it. Apart from Dixit, the movie casts Gajraj Rao, Ritwik Bhowmik, Srishti Shrivastava, Barkha Singh and others.
