The Apple Far Out event took place yesterday, September 7, and it unveiled three lines of products. These included the highly anticipated iPhone 14 series, three new Apple Watches and the second generation of AirPod Pro. Hosting the event from Apple Park in Cupertino, Tim Cook introduced the next generation of Apple smartphones, which were the biggest highlight of the entire show. The event took place at 10:30 PM and went on till midnight. 1. iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus launched
Ditching the iPhone Mini, the new iPhone 14 Plus was launched with a larger 6.7-inch display alongside the base model of iPhone 14. The smartphones received an updated display with 1,200 nits of brightness and Dolby Vision support. The device has been equipped with A15 Bionic chipset, which Apple claims can deliver iPhone 13 Pro level performance.
The devices sport a 12MP dual rear camera with a larger sensor of 1.9 microns and a sensor shift OIS. Apple has also introduced a new Photonic Engine for better image processing. Apple also claims that the devices will now get a longer battery life.
2. iPhone 14 to feature Satellite connectivity
The iPhone 14 series gets a new feature of satellite connectivity. This will allow users to send emergency text messages via satellite even if there is no mobile network. Apple smartphones in the USA will also come without a sim tray and will only support eSIMs.
3. iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus Prices
The iPhone 14 India prices are out. The iPhone 14 starts at Rs. 79,900 for the 128GB storage variant. The 256GB and 512GB variants will be available at Rs. 89,900 and Rs. 1,09,900, respectively. The iPhone 14 Plus starts at Rs. 89,990 for the 128GB storage variant. The 256GB variant can be purchased at the price of ₹99,900 and the 512GB variant can be purchased at the price of Rs. 1,19,900.
4. iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max unveiled
With some major upgrades, Apple also launched the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max during the event. Both the devices will be equipped with Apple A16 Bionic chipset and feature a new redesigned display notch that shows animated notifications.
The cameras have also received a boost as the devices now sport a 48MP primary rear camera with support for pixel binning. Other features include a 2x telephoto zoom, a 48mm mode, and a 48MP ProRAW mode for professional photographers. The devices also get Always-On display feature.
5. Dynamic Island
Both the Pro models will also feature a new redesigned notch that will not just house the front camera and the Face ID but also be an interactive space which will display notification alerts, background app status, live activity widgets and more.
6. iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max Prices
The iPhone 14 Pro starts at Rs. 1,29,900 for the 128GB storage variant, Rs. 1,39,900 for 256GB variant, Rs. 1,59,900 for 512GB variant and Rs. 1,79,900 for the 1TB variant.

7. Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE launched
Apple showcased the Apple Watch Series 8 last night which featured an always-on display and a large display screen. The device has also been equipped with temperature sensors to better monitor menstrual cycles of women. It also has a new crash detection feature that senses whenever a car crash takes place and automatically sends alert notification to emergency services and contacts.
The second generation of the Apple Watch SE, a cheaper version of the Series 8 was also launched at the event. The major upgrades were in its design and addition of crash detection features.
8. Meet the Apple Watch Ultra
Apple also unveiled an extreme version of the Apple Watch for sports junkies and explorers. Focusing on its durability, the watch comes with a titanium body, impact resistant bezels, an action button and a large battery capable of lasting for 36 hours.
The second generation of AirPods Pro were also launched at the event. These will be equipped with Apple H2 chipset for better audio processing, spatial audio for customized experience, a boosted active noise cancellation and up to 6 hours of playtime on a single charge.
10. iOS 16 rollout announced
Apple has also announced that the global rollout of the iOS 16 will start from September 12. Alongside WatchOS 9 will also be rolled out for Apple Watch Series 4 and above on the same date.
